Aims and Scopes

The International Journal of Molecular and Clinical Microbiology (IJMCM) is a twice a year publication in microbial sciences that publishes research articles reporting the results of molecular studies of eukaryotic microorganisms and prokaryotes (bacteria and archaea) and their viruses, and applied researches relevant to therapy and diagnostics in the fields of microbiology, infectious diseases, virology, parasitology, mycology, immunology and epidemiology.

Submission: Contributions should be in US English language. The text must be clear and concise, conforming to accepted standards of English style and usage. Non-native English speakers may be advised to seek professional help with the language. Mail four copies - one original with the authors names and their affiliations, plus three blinded without the authors' name and institutions for review process - and two sets of original figures and graphs to the Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Farhad Mashayekhi, editor@ijmcm.ir

Articles are considered for publication on the condition that they are solely contributed to IJMCM and have not been published elsewhere - neither in paper form nor electronically.  The manuscript must be accompanied by the IJMCM assignment form signed by all authors (IJMCM assignment form).

Initially, the manuscript will be assessed from editorial points of view. If the Editorial Office finds the manuscript appropriate, it will enter the peer-review process. The corresponding author will then be informed of the evaluation along with the editorial remarks. The authors of the accepted articles will be asked to provide their article, either on a compact disk (CD) or via e-mail. The preferred word processing program is Microsoft Word. Microsoft Word 2007 is not acceptable format nonetheless. The corresponding author will then receive the galley-proof. If the corresponding author is not available for the page proof, a co-author or colleague should be assigned for proof-reading.  Authors submitting a manuscript do so on the understanding that if it is accepted for publication, copyright in the article, including the right to reproduce the article in all forms and media, shall be assigned exclusively to the IJMCM.
